Medicine Uses
VARDENAFIL (Filitra) used to treat sexual problems such as impotence or erectile dysfunction in men. In combination with sexual stimulation, Levitra works by helping the blood flow into the penis to achieve and maintain an erection. Levitra will not protect against sexually transmitted diseases including hiv infection.
How to use
Follow the directions for using Levitra provided by your doctor. Levitra should be taken as needed, about an hour before sexual activity or as directed by your doctor. Levitra should not be taken more than once daily. Between doses should be interval time no less than 24 hours.
Missed Dose
Levitra is used as needed, so you are not likely to miss a dose. Additional monitoring of your dose or condition may be needed if you are taking other medicines for impotence or which may change the way the heartbeats such as phenothiazines, tricyclic antidepressants, quinolone antibiotics and others. If overdose is suspected, immediately contact your doctor. Symptoms of overdose may include back pain, muscle pain, and abnormal vision.
Precautions
Don't take Levitra if you have had an allergic reaction to it in the past or to any other ingredient that is found in it. Levitra may cause dizziness or vision changes. To minimize dizziness or lightheadedness, sit up or stand slowly when rising from a seated or lying position. Your dose is based on your medical condition, response to therapy, and the other medicines you are taking. Do not take Levitra more often than once daily as needed. Do not exceed the recommended dose without checking with your doctor. Levitra may change heart rhythm, especially if taken with other medicines that can change the heart rhythm. Before you begin taking any new medicine, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. Caution is advised when using Levitra in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the side effects.
Side Effects
Side effects that may occur while uses Levitra include headache, stuffy or runny nose, flushing, heartburn, diarrhea, dizziness, stomach upset or nausea. If these continue or are bothersome, contact with your doctor. Sexual activity may put extra strain on your heart, especially if you have heart problems. If you have heart problems and experience any serious side effects while having sex, stop having sex and consult your doctor immediately. An allergic reaction to Levitra is unlikely but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, severe dizziness, unusual swelling, or trouble breathing, itching. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor.
Storage
Store Levitra at room temperature 25 °C (77 °F). Keep Levitra and all medicines out of the reach of children and away from moisture and heat. Brief storage between 59 and 86 °F (15 and 30 °C) is permitted.
